Alarms are devices in the village, Maidenholm, and the parade district that will sound when the player fails to be on their joy when they go through a joy detector or when the player is caught sneaking around a wellie's house. Wellies can activate the alarm by pressing an alarm button that can be found next to the front door of every house. The player also has the ability to use these buttons and sound an alarm, but the NPCs will still attack the player due to the programming of the game. It is not a glitch but more of a feature. Alarms have the same sound radius as a crier's scream.
