Motilene is a purplish fluid, the primary purpose of which is to provide power for most objects and devices within the world of We Happy Few. Furthermore, Motilene is represented as a liquid saturated with electrical energy, which can be bottled into Empty Power Cells, which can be found throughout Wellington Wells.

This substance can be found at spill sites and is contained inside of Power Cells. A Motilene Harvester is required.

Motilene appears to derive its name from Thiotimoline, a fictional substance that first appeared in the spoof white paper, The Endochronic Properties of Resublimated Thiotimoline[1] by Issac Asimov. This reference is made even more clear by a note that can be found during the story quest, "I Sing the Body Electric," referencing "thiomotilene crystals" and "endochronic properties".
